Dougal has spent more than 25 years managing complex stakeholder engagement programmes in the development, house-building and resources industries, advising a wide range of public and private sector bodies.  He heads up the UK stakeholder team for national consulting practice Curtins and leads the team supporting IGas Energy, the country’s leading on-shore gas and oil exploration business which has more than 1m acres under licence.  Other clients include Langtree Group, Bellway Homes, Jones Homes and Land Securities.

Dougal has been spat at, abused, picketed and stalked in roughly equal measure in pursuit of his clients’ interests but says that, by and large, the British people are fair-minded and reasonable.  It puts his lifelong love of Everton football club firmly in perspective, he adds.  He has a degree in marketing, a young family and a collection of fly fishing rods that don’t see as much action as they ought.
